Dublin Girls' Trip

I went to Dublin for the weekend with Lisa, Becky, Monique, Kristi, and Steffani. We started on Friday with shopping and a pub crawl. We started the pub crawl at the famous Trinity University, which is the oldest university in Ireland...was established by Queen Elizabeth. The first pub we went to had a scary looking guy for a fireplace. The next day most of us went on a Celtic day tour of the countryside. We learned a lot about why the Celts came to Ireland and how Christianity was introduced, as well as the Vikings invading. We saw the ruins of the largest monastery in Ireland and some very old cemeteries. One cemetery had a statue of St. Patrick. In the evening we came back to Dublin, walked around and took a ghost bus tour of the haunted places in town. We learned about some famous saints and other noted locals of the past. On Sunday we took the city bus tour and saw St. Patrick's Cathedral, Temple Bar, the Guinness Brewery and Jameson Distillery.
